The Bayou State Circuit

All homebrewers age 21 and older who enter a sanctioned Bayou State Circuit event are eligible for Bayou State Circuit Homebrewer of the Year.
All members of a homebrewing team must be over 21 to be eligible for Homebrewer of the Year.
Homebrewing teams will be treated as a single entity. Entries with changes in team membership will be awarded points as a separate team.
A team is considered a group who collaborate on the entire brewing process, sharing in recipe selection and the brewing process.

Only entries judges against BJCP guidelines will be awarded points. No people choice, No celebrity judging
If a competition chooses to combine BJCP categories, points will only be give to the winners of the combined categories
Points will be awarded as follows 1st - 3 point, 2nd - 2 points, 3rd - 1 point.
Points earned by teams will not cound toward individual. points
Points will not be awarded to individuals/teams that are ineligible for Louisiana homebrewer of the year
After the results are posted to the competition website, there will be a 2 week window for entrants to contact the Competition Coordinator about errors in the results. The Competition Coordinator will make the call on whether or not the results will be updated and will notify the Circuit coordinator.
At the end of the calendar year, the individual/team with the most accumulated points from circuit competitions will be named Homebrewer of the Year

All Homebrew clubs that are based in Louisiana or are made up of a majority of Louisiana residents will be eligible to win Club of the Year
Points will be awarded to clubs based on the club membership listed by entrants to eligible competitions.
If an individual/team does not specify their homebrew club when registering an entry, any points won will not count towards Club of the Year totals
At the end of the calendar year, the homebrew club whoes members have accumulated points from circuit competitions will be named Homebrew Club of the Year
